I do a lot of business with Kinko’s. They are (usually) terrific for last minute print jobs, particularly now that they will price match quoted jobs.
Tonight, I dropped off an order for them at 12:20am. I wanted it by Thursday; just a hair under 48 hours. I was told I was too late to do that because “technically” it was already Wednesday, so I would not be able to get my printing back until Friday evening.
I asked, “so if I would have been in here at 11:59pm, I could have had it back on Thursday. But because I’m 21 minutes past 12, I have to wait another 24 hours?”
The answer?
YES.
Ugh.
I went somewhere else, and won’t be going back to that location.
